We're one big family

Our team cultivates a culture of mutual support, devoid of egos, where our long-standing team exemplify the respect we hold for one another. We recognise helping clients with their issues can sometimes take a toll on our own wellbeing, so we have an employee assistance provider to be there for us when needed. We give back to our community

We actively engage in community initiatives and fundraising efforts, participating in events such as the Biggest Morning Tea, Jeans for Genes Day, Let's Talk Colac, fundraising for local initiatives like Annum Cara, and contributing through team blood donations. We also proudly sponsor our local sports clubs, community events and the Colac Chamber of Commerce. Leveraging our networks and expertise, we advocate for fairness, particularly in support of our farming community and for sensible legislation. We frequently share valuable education with our community across radio, newspapers, and socials, addressing local legal matters.

In order to provide the best service possible our offices are based in Colac and Camperdown, with that we have a team of 30 skilled professionals.  Each are as caring as the next. We are loyal and hardworking but our motto is to have fun whilst working hard at it. We don’t entertain egos but instead embrace a culture of working together while continuing to learn and maintaining work life balance.

And did we mention… we generally operate on a fixed fee basis and we don’t time record.

While we have deep ties to our home in South West Victoria, we also believe that our community deserves access to the best legal talent from both within our region and beyond, this is why we are on the hunt for a lawyer with two or more years of post admission experience. Autonomy will be key over their own files whilst enjoying the collaboration on the big projects with our directors and of course sharing their superstar skillset with the team.

Your Story:

You’ve been working in a law firm for a couple of years now and during that time you’ve gained valuable experience. You will have experience working directly with clients, and relish problem solving and take great satisfaction in delivering the paperwork with the “i”s dotted and the “t”s crossed.

A self starter with an eye for detail you get excited about seeing a project through to the end - whether it be helping a small business plan for the future or setting up a family trust and transferring assets in a way that achieves the client’s goals. You will use your technical knowledge to produce quality legal work and you will have an appreciation that each legal matter is unique and that each client deserves a tailored experience.

The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of experience with a Victorian practising certificate.
